Communion Returns!

08.14.20 | News by John Matkin

This Sunday the celebration of Holy Communion returns to our congregation in three ways: in-person, drive-through, and home delivery. As part of our Contemporary and Traditional worship experiences at 9:00 and 11:00 am, we will be blessing the communion elements of bread and juice. Then we will distribute individually packaged prefilled communion cups/wafers to in-person worshipers to take home to receive.

We will also distribute the packaged communion elements on Sunday afternoon, 4:00-6:00 pm, under the covered driveway on the east side of the church (that’s the Wendy’s side, with the shade trees). Some of you may not feel comfortable attending worship in-person, but would appreciate the opportunity to drive up to the church to see other church members’ faces and receive the elements to take home to receive.

We know many of our members remain home for important health reasons. We want to bring the elements to you! Fill out our Home Communion Form , and we’ll make sure you receive communion elements blessed on Sunday morning.

Our In-Person Worship Guidelines and Self-Health Assessment remain in effect; please review them before arriving for worship. We will still email a “landing page” on Sunday morning for online connection convenience as we livestream both worship experiences on YouTube and Facebook. Services are recorded and will be available on our YouTube channel and FaceBook page a few hours later for viewing any time on any day.

This Sunday, let us break bread together!!

    God bless,
    Jack Matkin

PS Use the same Home Communion Form to volunteer to TAKE communion to friends, neighbors, family, and other church members who are staying at home.
