Join us for Traditional worship at 11:00 am this Sunday and experience the music of Greg English. Not only will it be worshipful, it will be a toe tapping good time! A native Houstonian, raised in the Methodist church and musical family, Greg English loves to share his faith in song with his smooth baritone voice while playing a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica. Gospel music is his favorite genre whether in a bluegrass, folk or contemporary style.

Greg’s learning began at 5 years old, playing the ukelele while sitting on his father's knee, and advancing quickly to guitar at 7. He was saved at 14, the same year he took up 5-string banjo. Two years later, Greg was starring in the Crystal Palace Show at Astroworld.

While his children were young, they all sang as The English Family, playing gospel music at Lakeview and other events. Through the years, The English Family has been singing and playing all over Texas sharing their music. In 2007-2010, the English Brothers opened a Western Cowboy Music Chuckwagon in New Braunfels, performing to hundreds of cowboy music enthusiasts. Lately Greg, or his Bluegrass band - Out of the Blue - perform at local events, retirement homes and churches sharing his faith and love for music.
