Dear Dickinson Family and Friends,
Jesus said, “PEACE I leave with you, my PEACE I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives” (John 14:28). Join us this Advent season for the promise and the fulfillment - the coming and the arrival - of PEACE.
The concept of PEACE contained in the Hebrew word SHALOM includes Hope, Comfort, Joy, and Rest. During this time of pandemic - with so much uncertainty and anxiety - Hope, Comfort, Joy, and Rest are all conditions we could certainly use in greater abundance!
As Christians, we find them, we experience them, in and through our relationship with Jesus Christ, the promised Prince of PEACE. Each week during Advent, we will light candles representing these essential aspects of PEACE.
Given the unique situation in which we find ourselves this year concerning inside, in-person worship, we are replacing our traditional honorary and memorial Poinsettias with an opportunity to purchase outside Live Nativity lighting in honor or memory of loved ones. Get more information on this change to fit our situation below.
