The Opportunity of a Lifetime

Good News, Friends!

There’s a good chance our children and youth will get to attend church camp and mission trips this summer. Dates have been published, and registration has already begun. Our efforts against the coronavirus over the next few months could make the difference if our children and youth get to experience the opportunity of a lifetime. Ranging from four to seven days in length, these experiences immerse young persons in intentional Christian community with daily worship, Bible study, prayer, service, fellowship, and fun.

These immersion experiences in “kingdom living” can be life-changing. For many young persons, this may be the first time they have experienced “Christ alive” personally. It may be the first time they have worshiped days in a row, prayed in a group, or led a prayer. Many come home with changed hearts, opened eyes, and lifelong friends.

You also have the opportunity of a lifetime to help make such a powerful experience a reality. Our goal each spring is to raise enough “investment funds” to reduce the cost of attending an immersion experience by half. Your investment will allow more children and youth to participate, especially for families with more than one child. Here’s the total cost for each program this summer:

  • Lakeview Summer Camp (3rd-12th Graders) $440
  • UM Army Mission Week (9th-12th Graders) $275
  • Big House Mission Weekend (6th-8th Graders) $135

Please consider accepting the opportunity of a lifetime to give another person the opportunity of a lifetime. Make your contribution by card, check or cash. (Mark all gifts as “Invest in Our Children/Youth) Or make an investment online.

God bless,

Jack Matkin
