Who We Are...
Shining Light Productions is a performing arts branch of Dickinson First United Methodist Church that provides artisitic opportunities for all ages and surrounding communities to share in God’s light. They utilize the powerful mediums of theater, music, art, and dance, to narrate stories of hope. Through these artistic expressions, Shining Light Productions sparks and inspires participants and audiences alike to bring a positive influence within their communities.

Kids! Summer Performing Arts Camp
Shining Light Productions is proud to offer four different types of summer performing arts camps. Campers can start as early as incoming 3rd graders up to incoming 9th graders. Each camp is taught by paid professionals currently teaching and/or performing in these fields. They are beyond excited to help your kiddos grow as young thespians, singers, and musicians! Please see the descriptions below for more details! We hope to see your child shine this summer!
Theatre Camp
June 9th-June 13th
For incoming 3rd-5th/6th-9th graders
Student actors will enjoy a week of hands on theater training with voice and movement, acting technique, character building, stagecraft, puppetry, theater games, and fun! Every student will get a chance to shine in small scenes and explore together the art of the theatre. Cost: $250
Music Camp (Elementary)
June 30th-July 3rd
For incoming 3rd-6th graders
Be ready to sing, move, play instruments, write songs, and most of all have FUN while learning all about MUSIC! This camp is geared for all elementary level musicians that love music. Let’s make a joyful sound together! Cost: $150
Band Camp (Middle School)
June 30th-July 3rd
For incoming 7th-9th, or students familiar with a band instrument
Student musicians that are already acquainted with a band instrument are invited to band camp! Here they will learn more about their instruments through participation within large and small ensembles and sectional work. They will participate in fun music-based elective classes as well. Students that love to play will not want to miss this! Cost: $150

Musical Theater Camp: NEWSIES
July16th-25th
For incoming 5th-9th graders
Learn and perform Disney’s Newsies Jr. for the community! Inspired by the true story of newsies in turn-of-the-century New York City who go on strike against unfair conditions, come and join Jack and Crutchie as they "sieze the day!" Auditions for main characters will be on the first day of camp. Campers will all have fun as they sing, dance and act to this musical favorite! Cost: $275
