Peace-filled Promises

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." —Hebrews 13:8
One moment that will always remind me of God’s peace and power happened during a mission trip to a small village in Mexico. We were visiting a local church when a young woman, carrying her baby, approached us. Her arm was bright red and swollen, and she asked for prayer. As we laid hands on her and prayed, the Holy Spirit filled the room. I could feel His presence moving through me as we prayed with all our hearts. After what felt like an eternity, we finished praying and opened our eyes. Her arm was completely healed—no swelling, no redness, just peace and normalcy restored.
That experience is one I return to when I feel discouraged or disheartened. It reminds me that God is constant and always working for good. As Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” His promises never change. Even in life’s uncertainties, I trust that His peace will guard my heart and mind, just as Philippians 4:7 states: “The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
This peace gives me the strength to persevere. Whether facing challenges or simply the weight of daily responsibilities, I know that God’s peace is always present to guide, sustain, and restore me.
