The Joy of the Lord

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” —Nehemiah 8:10

There’s nothing like God’s peace to get me through tough times. No matter what I’m facing, just knowing He’s there gives me the strength to keep going. Life can be so unpredictable, and sometimes I have no idea how things will work out. But time and time again, God has shown me that He always provides exactly what I need, right when I need it.

I’ll never forget a time when we were hit with an unexpected expense. I had no clue how we were going to pay for it, and honestly, I panicked. I stressed, I worried, and I ran through every possible solution in my head—but nothing added up. The more I tried to figure it out on my own, the more anxious I became. Finally, I just let go and prayed. I told God I didn’t know what to do, but I trusted Him to take care of it.

Later that week, I checked the mail and found a refund check waiting for us. I just sat there, staring at it, completely in awe. It was such a clear reminder that God sees me, He knows my needs, and He always comes through. It wasn’t just about the money; it was about the peace that came with knowing I wasn’t in this alone.

That moment stuck with me. It reminded me that no matter how impossible a situation seems, God already has it covered. I don’t have to stress or try to fix everything on my own—He’s got me. And that’s where real peace comes from.
